The Ronnie Wood Radio Show |
For the last few weeks I have been listening to Ronnie Wood's hour long radio show (programme). Its free on Absolute Radio and Ronnie's site. For those who dont know, Ronnie is one of the legendary guitarists of The Rolling Stones. Hes been there done that with every whos who of rock music since the 60's. He has a very wide variety of music from the 50's to today. Even my 14 year old sat one night listening and thought it was cool. I have taken the liberty of copying the playlist so far and pasting it below. I just hope they make it a podcast so I can load up my ipod.
Set lists below and a link to the show archives here. Enjoy!!

The Jonas Brothers Live in Concert |

Last night I went to The Jonas Brothers Concert at The First Midwestern Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois. It was thrown by OfficeMax as a private dress rehearsal show for employees and family only. That in itself was pretty cool because it was only 5,000 people and everyone got a good seat. Since it was a dress rehearsal we got to see a lot of the last minute details they perform to put on such a big production. At first we sat next to the soundboard and saw the work that goes behind orchestrating all the band members and dancers behind stage. The choreographer was near us and taking notes on all the dancing moves with his assistant. Im not into all the dancing, cause Im older, but I am impressed with how many moves they learn and all the work that goes into it. Demi Lavato opened the show and she had the most dancers. Shes from the Disney Channels Camp Rock Movie. This concert is to promote Camp Rock 2 on September 3 2010. I guess she was one of the stars with the Jonas Brothers. I never saw it. Anyway it was a lot of fun to watch such a massive production and the music was good for teen pop stuff. They did do a beatles (Drive My Car) tune which was cool. I will say you cant deny the talent those 3 teen kids have. They played drums, piano, guitar, and each sang very well.
Here are some pics. The fuzzy ones are from my Blackberry and the clear ones from co-workers who were nice enough to share with me. :)

Megan is circled in red. I could see her by the bright neon green shirt. :)

I was watching a video of Eric Clapton last night and it made me remember the time I met him. It was a thrill then and still is now 21 years later. I thought I might as well blog it before I get to old to remember it. :)
